Emerald Ash Borer

50 million + Ash trees have been destroyed. That's an estimated $10 billion in removal, treatment, and replacement!

Early Signs

Infested trees will begin to thin as a result of the nutrient-conducting tissue being destroyed under the bark of the tree . A heavy infestation will cause canopy die-back, usually starting at the top of the tree. If not treated properly within a year one -third to one-half of the branches could die.

The Emerald Ash Borer Has Now been Discovered in Cerro Gordo County
